Here's the final Lace Page Shadow Box featuring my beautiful Grandmother....

I will be teaching this class November 13 at A Scrapbook Store and More in Pt St Lucie...I'm looking forward to it.

October 16 I took a great wonderful fantastic class from Jen Starr in Pompano at Cherry Blossom Studios....will add pictures

I was supposed to be turning in my Altered Book at Everything Scrapbook in Lake Worth on October 16 while I was taking Jen's classes so.....I finished it up and rushed it to them....and here's the finished project.

Here are the "Caribbean" pages I did for Jacqui's book in July.

This one was a real "rush" job for August....Green Aliens.

Not my favorite...I had to use the color green and this is all I could come up with since, as usual, I had to get it done in a couple of hours...I used a lot of Chandelier Glimmer Glam.

Lace Page
I didn't take a picture of the completed lace page in the shadow box but here's the "unglued" work in progress.

I'll get the image of the finished project this Saturday.
Paula Beeton of A Scrapbook Store and More in Port St Lucie is going to shedule classes for November.

A present for Paula B, owner of A Scrapbook Store and More in Pt St Lucie, on the one year anniversary of her store. A new venture is always a "leap" and Paula's is working out great! I love her store and am wishing her continued super success.

Lovely in Lace Altered Book

My first adventure in "altered book" design using my hand dyed lace, Webster's paper, Distress Inks, Copic Markers, a Prima Branch, florist's green coated wire  and self-adhesive pearls...

...here's some detail...

...the lace flowers were carefully removed from a vintage wedding dress I found in a thrift store and then colored with Lipstick Natural (E04), Pale Pink (RV10) and Pink (RV11) Copic markers.
I wish I had done this in a shadow box!
Here's my first shadow box...
...I did this for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I printed their picture on fabric then silk embroidered my mother's bouquet, her veil, my dad's bow tie and boutonniere; then I mitered bridal lace over a silver silk moire frame I made and added some embellishments including the cross my mother wore on her wedding day. A labor of love.
